Dr. Vonda Wright is an orthopaedic surgeon, speaker, author, and researcher. Currently practicing at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), she specializes in sports medicine and is the Director of P.R.I.M.A: the Performance and Research Initiative for Masters Athletes. In these roles she cares for patients with a variety of musculoskeletal injuries while conducting research focused on athletes over 40. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Wheaton College, in Wheaton, Ill; her master’s degree in oncology nursing from Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, and her medical degree from the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago.
